I’ve been playing around with this palette for a few weeks and it defiantly wasn’t love at first sight, but I have grown to like it! It is the perfect neutral palette for me – there’s a matte highlight, both warm and cool midtone shades, a deep black and brown, and fantastic glittery shimmer shades.
The mattes are stiffer and drier than I would normally like but that makes it’s easier to get washes of color and build up the intensity. The very lightest shade is almost nonexistent on my skin and I think it’s partially because of my skin tone and partially because of the dry formula.
The shimmers are very glittery and are best applied with your fingers. Sometimes the glitter can go flying while you are applying the shadow, but I don’t get fallout throughout the day.
I think this is good everyday palette. I really appreciate the mix of finishes and I love that the shimmer shades are very glittery. I am disappointed that the packaging is plastic and feels a little cheap. (I was expecting it to be metal like the Filmstar Bronze and Glow.)
Honestly, if anyone else had released this palette, I would have never even considered buying it. But I’m a sucker for Charlotte Tilbury – I like the luxury of he line and I love her personality and makeup philosophy.
