CosRX – Low pH Good Morning Cleanser – Review

In a Few Words
A basic gel cleanser appropriate for most skin types.

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser suitable for all skin types – including dry and sensitive. The cleanser has a pH of 5 so it doesn’t disrupt the skin’s acid mantle and doesn’t over dry or strip you skin of its natural oils. It is formulated with tea tree oil and a form of BHA (Betaine Salicylate) to help control breakouts, minimize the appearance of pores, and exfoliate.

The Takeaway

I bought my Low pH Good Morning Cleanser on Amazon, I used entire bottle, and it lasted me about 3 months. I used this cleanser as a second cleanse in the evening or as a first cleanse in the morning. Most retailers say that it can be used to remove makeup, but I would’t recommend that. I like to use oil cleansers to remove makeup, but I did try the Low pH Good Morning Cleanser a few times and found that it didn’t really breakup a full face of makeup and it burned my eyes.

I have dehydrated, acne prone skin and, even though the pH is right with the product, it did leave my skin feeling a little dry and tight. I tended to save this for days my skin was calm because it could be a little too much for my face – I usually prefer a creamy cleanser (like the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser) for a second cleanse. I did mostly like Low pH Good Morning Cleanser because helped me maintain a clear face and a smaller appearance of my pores, but I didn’t really enjoy using it.

I love the ingredients, pH, and price of this product. I think this is a budget friendly, basic cleanser for anyone with normal to oily skin – dry and dehydrated faces might want to stay away from this.

This would be a great cleanser for most people with normal to oily skin.

Notable ingredients it DOES have:
Tea Tree Oil – antimicrobial, antioxidant
Saccharomyces Ferment – moisturizing agent
Betaine Salicylate – antimicrobial, exfoliate
Japanese Cedar – antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory
Kudzu Root Extract – anti-inflammatory
Sacred Water Lotus Leaf Extract – antioxidant

Notable ingredients it does NOT have:
Parabens
Sodium Lauroyl Sulfate
Phthalates
