I like this cleanser, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy it again. I’m not a huge fan of roses, but the rose scent is subtle enough for me to tolerate it. While the cleanser isn’t drying, it doesn’t feel hydrating or creamy or rich. I will probably buy it again next time I place an order from Glossier because it a fine utilitarian cleanser.
belif – The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb
A true favorite! Moisturizing, thick, absorbs quickly, and leaves your skin feeling velvety. I have already repurchased it!
Paula’s Choice – Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid
It’s fine… it does what it should do but I have grown to like AHA exfoliators better and I don’t really notice a difference in my acne when I am using it.
Benefit Cosmestics’ Gimme Brow and Glossier Boy Brow are the darlings of the makeup community on the interwebs. I have used and loved the both, but I have found something that is better and half the price!
I have pretty substantial brows but I look for a brow product that offers a strong hold, a darker tint, and the ability to fill in a few sparse holes. NYX Tinted Brow Mascara delivers on all fronts! On top of all those functional benefits, it is dirt cheap and lasts forever! Not only do you get more product (NYX – 0.22oz, Glossier-0.11oz, and Benefit-0.1oz), but by some stroke of magic, it doesn’t dry out until the 6-7 month mark. I am on to my third tube of this brow mascara, I keep trying other products and yet still come back to NYX. I’ll be honest, it’s not an exact dupe for Gimme Brow or Boy Brow because it doesn’t have fibers in it, but it is more pigmented than those two. Because it is so highly pigmented, I use the very tip of the wand to draw on the brow and lay down a little extra product to sparse areas. For my brow needs, the NYX Tinted Brow Mascara is a one-and-done product! I do think that if you have very sparse brows, you might want to use a pencil in conjunction with this brow mascara.
I am pretty fair and have a really difficult time finding bronzers or contours that go well with my skin tone and look natural on me. My favorite contour isn’t even a contour powder, it’s Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light by Hourglass!
I am pretty fair and have a really difficult time finding bronzers or contours that go well with my skin tone and look natural on me. My favorite contour isn’t even a contour powder, it’s Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light by Hourglass! For my completion, I usually favor a “my face by better” look and that is why I love to contour with Dim Light. You would have to be pretty fair for this trick to work for you since Dim Light is the darkest Ambient Lighting Powder. But if you have similar skin tone to me, it can accentuate cheek bones or reshape the nose so subtlety and naturally. I learned this trick from Mary Greenwell as she went through her pro gab on YouTube.
Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder – Eye Foil – Blonde Gold
I’ve tried this a few different ways and I would recommend applying it with either your finger or a flat synthetic brush. I have found that it works best if you use the *smallest* amount – I barely touch the Eye Foil and then even tap the excess off on the back of my hand.
🌿extremely fine gold glitter in sheer base
🌿very little fallout throughout the day – With glitter glue, I had just the slightest amount fallout but even with no primer, it was pretty minimal.
🌿difficult to layer – it can get clumpy and textured
